Schaeffler subsidiary Compact Dynamics will be the exclusive series supplier to the FIA from 2022 to 2024

Compact Dynamics delivers hybrid system for FIA World Rally Championship (WRC)
Schaeffler and Compact Dynamics have been successfully cooperating in the field of innovative, electrical high-performance drives for several years

Compact Dynamics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler based in Starnberg, was nominated by the FIA World Council as the exclusive supplier for the hybrid system of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The innovative hybrid technology will be used for the first three years in the new “Rally1” vehicle class from the 2022 season. Compact Dynamics prevailed against a top-class field of applicants. The high-performance hybrid system in P3 topology combines motor generator, control unit and battery in the smallest of spaces and with the highest power density and thus meets the high demands of the FIA World Association. Kreisel Electric, based in Rainbach, supplies the battery for the hybrid system as a partner of Compact Dynamics. The development of the hybrid system has already started and the first vehicle tests are scheduled for 2021.

The commitment to the FIA World Rally Championship will bring us further here. ”
